The part-time Controller will need to have comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting processes. Our ideal candidate is extremely professional, with excellent communication and organizational skills. 20 hours a week with the ability to come into our Fort Worth office 1-2 times a week.

Responsibilities: 

  • Managing payables and receivables

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Partner with the People department on Payroll-related items (taxes, insurance, etc.)

  • Help manage multi-state setups in coordination with People Department 

  • Month end and quarter end close

  • Partner with CEO to build and monitor budgets

  • Maintain department and client-level profitability models

  • Cash flow management (projected cash flows, monthly LOC calculations and reconciliations)

  • Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.

  • Assess all business transactions and prepare accurate reports on your findings.

  • Coordinate with employees on income tax research and planning.

  • Conduct periodic audits to guarantee accuracy in financial records, expenses, and savings.

  • Organize and file all federal, state, and local income tax documents.

  • Contribute to budgeting procedures.

  • Regularly brief management on the company’s financial position and recommend solutions to improve results.

  • Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes.

  • Ensure you remain up-to-date on industry changes and changes in regulations.

  • Respond to tax and accounting-related issues.

Qualifications: 

  • Experienced CPA 

  • Experience in social media, advertising, marketing or service related industry a plus 

  • Familiarity with payroll systems 

  • Quickbooks expert 

  • Excel or Google Sheets expert 

  • High comfort level collaborating with teams and colleagues.
